Central, which improved to 10-3 with the win, led 27-20 at the half and looked to be ready to deliver a knockout punch in the third quarter. Rebecca Goodman's fast-break basket and Shara Bishop's offensive putback gave the Eagles a 41-24 lead with 2:28 left in the quarter. But the Pats ran off 7 straight to end the quarter at 41-31. Big Dawn and Little Dawn scored on consecutive fast-break baskets to make it 45-35 with just under 6 minutes left in the game. The Pats then reeled off 10 straight points to tie the game at 45 on Karen Voss' offensive putback with 2:44 remaining. Two straight baskets by Jen Murphy made it 49-45. Central then hit 4 of 6 freethrows to grab a 53-47 lead, and Lincoln's Meghan Gasper hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to provide the final 3 point margin.
