



Eagles rally past Rapid City Stevens
The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles started thier long road trip weekend with a come from behind 43-40 victory over Rapid City Stevens out in Rapid City on Friday night. The Eagles, who played without starting point guard Rebecca Goodman, started out sluggish in the first half, trailing most of the way, and found themselves trailing by 6 at the half. After the break, however, the Eagles turned it up a notch and played much more aggressively, taking the lead midway through the fourth quarter. Key free throws down the stretch, including 5 for 5 from Dawn Sillman and 3 for 4 from Katie Norman helped the Eagles take a 3 point lead late in the game. Senior Laura Graf also had a key steal with under a minute to play to help seal the win for the Eagles. Junior Katie Norman played for the first time this season full strength, coming off a severe ankle injury suffered late this summer. Norman and Sillman led the Eagles with 12 points apiece. With the win, the Eagles improve to 5-2 on the season. Next up for the Eagles is Saturday night when they play at Pierre.
