Golden Eagles crush Bulldogs
The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles started out sluggish, but opened things up in the second quarter when they outscored Milbank 31-9, after having a one point first quarter lead. Back to back three pointers by Dawn Sillman and Katie Norman opened the scoring in the second period, pushing the lead to seven, and the Eagles never looked back after that. 12 different players scored for Aberdeen in the 65-29 rout, led by Emily Graf's 14. The Eagles were able to utilize both size and speed advantage over Milbank to dominate nearly every statistical category. With the win, the Eagles improve their record to 9-4 and keep alive their chance for the top seed in the District 3AA tournament. Next action for the Eagles is Friday night when they host ESD opponent Brandon Valley.
