Eagles pull away in fourth quarter
The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles improved their record to 3-0 on the young season by playing three good quarters and one great quarter on Saturday night in Mitchell. The Eagles played solid basketball throughout the game and led by one point going into the fourth quarter, then put together an outstanding 8 minutes, totally dominating the game from that time on. Tanya Krage played with reckless abandon, hitting the floor numerous times on loose balls, scoring points, grabbing rebounds, and made that desire contageous to her teammates, all of who picked up the effort and intensity to pull away from the Kernels in the final frame. The Eagles used pressure defense and transition offense to outscore the Kernels 17-3 in the final quarter en route to a convincing 46-31 win. Next action for the Eagles is Friday night when they travel to Yankton.
