Eagles roll past Lynx
Aberdeen Central battled through early foul trouble and ran past Brandon Valley on Saturday night in Brandon. Both Jaime Rice and Tanya Krage were sidelined early with fouls, but the rest of the Eagles picked up the slack. The Golden Eagles opened up a tight 29-23 halftime game by controlling the boards in the second half, leading to many transition baskets in the third and fourth quarters. With the second half effort, the Eagles rolled to an easy 64-43 win. Aberdeen Central has been playing very good basketball the past 3 weeks as Saturdays win marks the 6th in a row for the Eagles. The closest margin of victory in that stretch has been 18 points. The Eagles are playing with what coach Smedshammer calls a "super tough attitude". The win moves Central to 9-2 on the year. Next action for the Eagles is October 13 when the Eagles host Jamestown in a game that will be played at Holgate, due to a scheduling conflict in the Civic Arena.
