Arrows crunch Eagles in AA opener

Aberdeen Central, playing in it's first state tournament since 1992, couldn't shake the jitters and fell to a Watertown Arrow team which played well on both ends of the floor. The Arrows dominated the game from the start and cruised to a 48-28 win. The Arrow defense completely shut down Central's offensive output throughout the game. Through 3 quarters, the Golden Eagles were 7 of 30 from the field and had committed 16 turnovers. Jen Murphy had 8 of the 10 Eagle points at halftime while the other four starters - Dawn Sillman, Katie Norman, Laura Graf, and Rebecca Goodman, combined for only 4 points for the game. The two teams split through the regular season, with each team winning on their home floor. Jodi Dahlerup was one of the few bright spots for the Eagles, coming off the bench to hit 2 three pointers in the game. Aberdeen now will play Rapid City Central in the consolation semifinals Friday at 2:45.
