Berry leads Watertown past Eagles


Division I prospect Jaime Berry took over in the final minutes, lifting the Arrows past the Golden Eagles 45-38 in ESD action Tuesday night. Central held a 34-30 lead with just under 4 minutes to go in the game before Berry made a 3 pointer, had back to back assists, a key steal, and went 4 for 5 from the line in the last 2 minutes of the game to ice the win for Watertown. The game was close throughout, despite cold shooting from the Eagles. Watertown held a five point lead in the first quarter for their biggest lead until the end of the game, and Aberdeen Central had a three point lead in the third and a four point lead in the fourth for their biggest lead. Central has a chance to regroup with a 10 day layoff before they travel to Brandon Valley a week from Friday. The Eagles fall to 6-3 overall and 4-3 in the ESD.
