Tigers upset Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles weekend road trip got off to a shaky start Friday as the Huron Tigers upset Aberdeen Central 48-44 in the Huron Arena. Central, playing sluggishly, still was able to lead after the first period and and halftime at 23-21. Huron took the lead shortly after halftime and only trailed again briefly at 41-40. Huron led by 3 after the third quarter. Central managed to rally thanks to some sparks off the bench and managed to climb back into a tie at 40-40 with just over 3 minutes remaining. The Eagles had chances to take command of the game, but could only make one of five freethrows in the next minute and a half. The Eagles job doesn't get any easier as they play at undefeated and top ranked Sioux Falls Roosevelt Saturday night. Dawn Sillman led the Eagles with 15 points.
