Eagles improve to 4 - 1 with 50 - 42 win over Huron


Aberdeen Central bounced back from a gut wrenching loss to Yankton an posted a solid 50 - 42 win over the Huron Tigers Saturday at the Civic Arena. Sophomore Katie Norman sparked the Golden Eagles early on, scoring the first seven Eagle points and led the Eagles on the night with 19 points. Central increased its 8 point halftime lead to13 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Huron mounted a mini-rally, mainly due to a series of Central turnovers. The Eagles quickly regained their composure, however, and hit big freethrows down the stretch to post the eight point victory. The Golden Eagles host Pierre on Friday, their sixth straight home game to start the season.
