Eagles roll Rough Riders

After a 3 minute adjustment period, the Golden Eagles got things going both offensively and defensively in a 57-40 defeat of Grand Forks Red River High School. Sara Healy and Dawn Sillman each had a pair of 3 pointers in the first half to help fuel the offensive end as the Eagles led 18-12 after one quarter, then outscored the Rough Riders 14-6 in the second to take a 32-18 halftime lead. In the second half, Central effectively used its pressure defense in both the full court and half court setting to open up leads of 20 points on two different occassions. This was an important "bounce-back" win for the Eagles who were coming off a tough two point loss to Mitchell on Thursday night. The win raises the Eagles' record to 6-2. Central is next in action against Watertown on Tuesday night in Watertown.
