Golden Eagles improve to 8-3 with 62 - 51 win
Aberdeen Central finished a successful road weekend by defeating the Brookings Bobcats 62-51 on Saturday night at the Brookings gym, the Eagles second ESD win this weekend. Although the game was close at times, the Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter, at times opening up a 14 point lead, and in the final 2 minutes of the game, the lead was never less than 11. Central is now 8-3 on the season. Central senior center Jennifer Murphy was a dominating force, scoring 20 points and pulling down 9 rebounds. Dawn Sillman had 10 points and Rebecca Goodman 9 for the Eagles, who continue their long road trip next weekend when they travel to Huron Friday, and Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Saturday.
