Ernest Lawrence Thayer's beloved poem about baseball, Casey At The Bat, is pretty much mother's milk to all red-blooded American baseball fans - and even some green-blooded Vulcans if you believe DS9. But I digress...

Linked below, for the betterment of mankind as well as a cheap chuckle, are eleven versions of this poem. The first is the original text as left by Mr. Thayer. The poem is then translated into various languages, through the good offices of AltaVista's translation page which really does a very good job with prose, so please do not judge it by what is obviously an unfair exercise. Anyhow the resulting polyglot gibberish was retranslated, again via AltaVista, back into something designated by the term English. This is only a provisional designation, however.
