Winter Series December 2001

A very cold start awaited the 40 competitors for the December meeting, with the fog lifting in plenty of time for the start of the first slot. The field was set out as to the wind direction for when we got there but this had to be changed at the end of round one. In round one the longest flight time was 8mins 1sec and 50 bonus by Austin Gurrier with average times in the 4 to 5mins. Things improved in round two with the longest flight of the day being set by Pete Weston with 9mins 31secs and 30 landing points.

With some consistant flying Roger Knights took the Open Competition and Chris Grant taking the 100S part of the competition. Gill Doonan who had an average first round coming back with 2*1000 scores in rounds two and three to show the boys how to do it.
