Some Wrestling History

Article #1

This is my first article here, so I thought that I could tell you about what wrestling has ment to me during the years.

The year 1989 is the first thing that comes to mind. I began watching WWF on Eurosport and there I saw my first pay-per-view, WrestleMania V. I even saw it live. Wow! Then I continued to watch the greatest entertainment sport ever, for about 3 years. Then, Eurosport stopped the broadcasting of WWF. I felt devastated and didn’t know what to do. So, slowly, I just lost all interest in wrestling what so ever. But then, in 1992, I was looking in a TV-guide and I noticed that WrestleMania VIII was on a swedish channel that day. I taped it, of course and my interest took off again. Then, the regular WWF Superstars program began on a swedish channel, then I was hooked.

In 1994, only weeks before WrestleMania X, the swedish channel (TV 3), stopped the show. They said that they were going to take a break but would come back soon. I never saw WrestleMania X, and I havn’t seen any WWF shows since then.

The program, however, came back on TV 3. But now they had changed, from WWF to WCW. I really thought that that was a shame. But, I learned to love WCW almost just as much as WWF. I saw all the pay-per-views without having to pay for them, I just had a neighbour to tape them for me. I still have all the pay-per-views(well, almost) from Bash at the Beach 1994 to SuperBrawl VI 1996.

Right after the airing of SuperBrawl VI, the WCW show was cancelled. I’ve never seen a wrestling broadcast since March of 1996. But, as a gift from God, I got access to Internet, and here I follow the action from both WWF and WCW.

That’s my wrestling expieriences in a nutshell. Hope you liked it.
