Murphy's Law On Rowing

Coaching

Always leave room to add an explanation in case it doesn't work out.

No one is listening until you make a mistake.

There is always an easier way to say it.

In case of doubt make it sound convincing.

A good coach can make a decision without enough facts, a perfect coach can operate in complete ignorance.

The public

No matter what goes wrong, there is always somebody who knew it would.

Never argue with a fool, people might not know the difference.

Complex problems have simple, easy-to-understand, wrong answers.

If you can distinguish between good advice and bad advice, then you don't need advice.

Training rules

There is nothing wrong with sex on tv just as long you don't fall off

Anything good in life is either illegal, immoral or fattening.

Rigging the boat

If it jams - force it, if it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Club executives

When in doubt mumble. When in trouble delegate.

If you try to please everybody, nobody will like it

Coaches will act rationally when all other possibilities have been exhausted.

To make an enemy, do someone a favor.
