Time in Warhammer is divided into Rounds and Turns.
Turns - this is approximately a minute of game time.
Round - this is approximately 10 seconds of game time.
You generally use rounds for combat. For example, if a player has A=1 that means that they can attack once per round.
Here is an explanation of the cryptic box at the bottom left corner of the back
of the character sheet. You have three difference movement rates:
Cautious. Standard dungeon moving rate.
Standard. A normal person walking outside would do this. You can use this for
adventures inside, but you'll be forever tripping over things.
Running. Have a guess. Your running rate decreases by 1 yard per round after
running a full round as you become more breathless, until you are reduced
to standard rate.
Cautious is half as fast as Standard, Running is 4 times that of Standard. As a general formula, this is how you calculate the Standard movement rates of a character from their movement score, M:
Move rate in yards per round: M*4
Move rate in yards per turn: M*24
Move rate in MPH equivilent: M*144/161
Somewhat bizzarely, the writers of Warhammer seem to have thought that there are 1610 yards in mile, not 1760. Obviously for 'yard' read 'metre' and for 'foot' read '33 1/3 cm'.
