OBJECTIVES

The Objectives of CENPEACE
     To further the cause of peace with freedom and justice throughout the World, with
         particular focus on the Third World.
     To expose and oppose political, economic, cultural and territorial domination,
         hegemony and expansion.
     To identify the obstacles to the peaceful and just developement of the world
         community and to campaign against them
     To promote education on and research into problems of conflicts, wars, disarmarment
         and domination.
    To promote discussion and exchange of ideas and suggestions for a just and peaceful
        world through conferences, talks, workshops as well as through the publication of
        books, booklets, pamphlets, discussion papers, leaflets, posters and the production
        and dissemination of videotapes and audiotapes.

CENPEACE, as a Non-Govermental Organization, aims to help coordinate the efforts and thinking of Third World peoples, organisations and goverments to fight this common danger. It aims to work with progressive organisations and individuals in developed nations, to resist resolutely the war mongers and hegemonists.

CENPEACE intends to help the people to develop ideas and suggestions to build solidarity and unity, drawing strength from their material resources and religious, spiritual and cultural traditions. It will help on that basis, to encourage the developement of genuine peace with justice, freedom and dignity.

During its first year of existence, CENPEACE was busily involved in a variety of activities. These activities are presented under the following heads :
