Something about for my native town : SLIVEN CITY PROFILE :Sliven is medium-sized town with a population of about 120 000. It is an importantindustrial center and has traditional industries such as textile production , glass processing, machine-building. It has been a town of cultural importance during the national revival of 17-18th century but was turned into a heavy industrial town in the 40's and 50's. However, the town still holds a number of important national cultural and scientific institutions such as the largest theater in the country with high-quality performances, puppet theater, art galleries and scientific libraries, historical museums and an astrolabe. |
