Genetic engineering, genetic improvment, meat and fat quality, milk production and quality, morpho-functional evaluation, nutrition, feeding and tecnica mangimistica, physiology and pathology of reproduction, hygiene and livestock environment, parasitic diseases;breeding technologies of the main species of mammalian livestock, livestock products, food rationing provisions and markets.

Laboratories

Genetic engineering labs: RFLP, PCR, DNA sequencing.
Feeds analyses lab: evaluation of chemical and energetic contents of feeds.
Nutrition lab: digestibility and in vivo utilization of nutrient elements.
Animal products quality lab: evaluation of milk, meat and fat qualitative characteristics.

At the Sezione Allevamenti Zootecnici of the DIPROVAL is available a piggery (struttura zootecnica sperimentale polifunzionale) used for researches in pig husbandry.
