the fire is in their eyes shooting from behind their pupils in yellow and orange flames flames as they step off of the train silence. no one moves a muscle everyone just stares because because the crowded train station sees the women recognizes the walk bam boom bam round and round round they go how the air begins to heat up how noses and foreheads begin to sweat drip drop drip because because the women have lit up this path pointing toward skyscrapers as solid buildings are lowered and sit on their fingertips these women will drive you teetering into convulsions a heart attack, a stroke they'll give ya make ya dizzy right in your seat disjoint disjoint zip through space and time appearing as doubles now you see'um, now ya don't taking wolves by storm challenging lions in their dens watching them tremble in utter misery and they're all steppin' steppin'into oblivion laughing at their incessant drum beat not stopping to catch a breath o' it's intoxicating suffocating steppin' sistas'll kill ya who's got a death wish 'cause they've got fire in their eyes
