On January 5th, 1911 Kappa Alpha Psi was founded at Indiana University by ten black men dedicated to the ideals of Achievement in all facets of life. Eighty eight years later, the fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi is being realized daily by thousands of young college men all over the world. Much like our founders at Indiana, the brothers of the Kappa Iota Chapter also yearn to reach higher planes. While attending The University Of Southern Mississippi, the brothers of Kappa Iota continue in a tradition of outstanding achievement, both inside and outside of the classroom. In accordance with the vision set forth by our founding fathers, the members of the Kappa Iota Chapter continue on the road to advancement and excellence.
