eace River Sutlery grew out of my participation in the re-enacting community in Florida. After convincing Michael that we should get involved in re-enacting, I set out to make myself a couple of ensembles and put some of my sewing skills to work and soon had what I thought to be a fair representation of what a lady of the era would wear. After some rather extensive research, the purchase of quite a bit of original source material, both print and photographic, I have come to the realization that a lot of what is seen at living histories and re-enactments is far from the norm of the day. To that end, I am crafting clothing that is as correct as is possible given the availability of goods & material in our 20^th century world.

I have reproduced day dresses, ball gowns, undergarments, shawls, cloaks, capes, hats and bonnets. We also have crocheted collars, timepiece pockets, bags, and accessories hand crafted by my mother, Tina. These are done from original patterns we have found in period ladies publications. I have also has done men's shirts and some dresses and shirts for the children but much prefer to do the ladies articles.
