IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!
I have defected from PADI to BSAC !!!!! The signs were there. I was fed up with the slow progress I was making through PADI's diver program. I found their goals unrealistic, their instructors to forceful and self-righteous and only interested in getting as much money as possible for their business! NB To anyone in PADI, that was a joke. I really enjoyed the PADI course. Well actually, their prices in PADI were too high. But, I hear you say, aren't BSAC just as expensive? Well yes, but not if you happen to be a University student such as myself!! Yes this king of comedians who brought you this web site actually attends Sussex University in the UK doing a Computer Science degree. In fact, that's how this page started. It was part of some course work (for which I honestly got a good grade!!) for my Human Computer Interaction course!! Sussex University's Sub Aqua club trains people like me up to Instructor level all at some very nice student discounted rates but is only for BSAC, thus the reason I changed companies. As I am currently a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver I can transfer across to BSAC Sports Diver with only a little bit of Rescue Diver training. As it turned out, things got spread out with me not being able to make it to weekend dives but after some diving this summer off Land's End, I am now a fully qualified BSAC Sport's Diver (I'm just waiting to get my little qualification book signed). So my diving expearience inlcudes (in no order) such places as the Channel Islands, Malta, Land's End, Stoney Cove, off Brighton Beach, Lakeside Shopping Center's lake (DO NOT GO THERE! If you don't know where I mean, all the better) and numerous swimming pools. I'll be reviewing these places in depth soon, I promise!!
