Prof.Tathagata Roy, a well known engineer and educationist has taken over the charge of Chairman. Board of Governors of TTTI, Calcutta with effect from 22nd December 2000 for a period of five years. Prof. Roy obtained his degree in Civil Engineering from Bengal Engineering College. He also holds a Law Degree of Calcutta University. A fellow of the Institution of Engineers and life member of the Indian Council of Arbitration, Prof Roy is currently a Professor in Construction Echnology, Jadavpur University, Salt Lake Campus, Calcutta. Earlier he worked in Indian Railways Service of Engineers, under the Ministry of Railays, Govt. of India, as General Manager, RITEs (Calcutta Project Office) and as Chief Engineer (Design) of Metro Railways, Calcutta. Professor Roy has published a text book entiled " Engineering Contracts in India : Law, Practice & Management" and contributed a large number of articles in reputed journals.
