The official badge or pin of Chi Omega is a monogram of letters.  They carry the Greek letter "Chi" which is superimposed over the Greek letter "Omega" in raised gold.  The pin contains fourteen stones, always pearls or diamonds, six on one bar of the Chi and eight on the other.
The Greek letters Rho, Beta, Upsilon, Eta, and Sigma were written across the top of the letter Omega.  On the right hand side of the Omega, the badge bears a skull and crossbones, while on the left side there is an owl.
The badge was designed by Dr. Charles Richardson, one of the Founders.  The first one was made by him out of dental gold.  It was the same size as the present pin.  No one but an initiated Chi Omega is allowed to wear the badge or crest on jewelry or other items.
The pledge pin of Chi Omega is a black enamel oval edged with gold, and the Greek letters
Chi and Omega are found in the center.
Often the pledge pin is referred to as the "small black bug."
