Interests
My interests are varied, outside of my volunteer work I enjoy music, computers, keeping up with current events and, even though I'm not a major sports fan, I do have two favorite teams.
Music
My musical taste covers a wide range of genres. They include Alternative, Classical, Classic Rock/Rock & Roll, '80s, Jazz, some R & B, and yes even a small amount of Rap.

I not only enjoy listening, I also recently started hosting my own online radio show on TwisterRadio.com every Wednesday from 2 to 4 PM. I have over 150 CDs that I listen to. As far as radio, I don't really listen to that unless I am in the car, mainly because its way to pop oriented. These days, my computer is my primary source for music; there are several online radio stations I listen to and I now have over 1000 songs (many from my CD collection) on my computer. Now that I can purchase songs online it makes it much easier (not to mention legal).
Computers
I use my computer daily, for a variety of things. Every morning, the first thing I do is check my email and take a look at what's new on my favorite Websites. Obviously, I use my computer to publish this website, but I also use it to maintain the DMD Pioneers website and mailing list, as well as NIV Users Group.
Since the computer is the only way I can write, I utilize Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software and a trackball, instead of a mouse. The voice recognition software helps me use various programs, like Microsoft Word and others, allowing me to work independently.
Current Events
I frequently keep track of the news through the Internet and television. Using the Internet I read newspapers from all over, including The Washington Post for local and national news and The Two River Times out of New Jersey. On television, I watch NBC4 for local news. For national news I watch the Fox News Channel and MSNBC.
Sports
My two favorite teams are in Major League Baseball, the New York Mets and in the National Football League, the New York Giants. Even though these teams are officially from New York City, I still consider them to be my home team.
