Engineering Drafting II: Bowling Ball Tower Structural Design Problem

Pictured below are advanced students working on their designs to solve the following problem:  Construct a tower made from straws and hot glue that will hold a 16 pound bowling ball the farthest up in the air using the least weight.  This is just one example of the many problem solving activities experienced in Engineering Design I & II.  Others include the bridge construction problem, mousetrap car, oil spill cleanup, to name a few.
