Any new exercise program should start out slowly and gradually build
up to the desired amount to give the body time to adjust. Evaluating how
fit you are at the present time can help determine how much exercise you
should take on at the beginning of your program. It will serve as a good
benchmark for mesuring the progress you make in the weeks and months ahead.
