March
~Spring is in the air~
Hi all! Pele here! I hope you all had a fabulous March!! I'm back to update you on my life this month! I'm just going to jump right in with the pics and narration of things I have done with mom this month, cause all that thinking trying to arrange it all in my head was too much for this "walnut brain!" (As Miss Sue, one of our leaders, would say!)
Mom is going to come after me for putting this picture on first thing! *grin* That's what happens when she leaves ME in charge of the page and the paw-top! This was taken by my grandma while we were in Fresno! We visited a shopping center there with the Far-Sighted 4-H club! That's the club mom grew up raising pups in! When we were there I met lots of new friends! I love my buddies!
Of course mom took pictures of me and my Big Dog! This one :
is right after I got my new Halti! (The Halti is the black thing you see across my muzzle. It is a training device, lots like the halter on a horse!) I don't really mind it anymore, but I still think its a bit annoying! I've learned that if I am good and do not try to take it off without mom's help, she will take it odd as soon as we get in the house! I like her plan! I try to be good!!
Now that spring
is in the air and the grass is turning green, I just love romping
outside! Its great fun! I love the feel of the grass on my fuzzy
little face!!
After all this time, I still
LOVE mom's bathroom! I'm getting kind of big to curl up behind
the toilet
though! Sometimes I try and get stuck! Then, when I start to cry, mom comes to help me get free!! I think I'll always like to watch the toilet flush! All that water spinning around looks like so much fun! (Hey Daisy, is it true that your water spins the other direction?? Go check for me! I'm sure someone will flush it for you in your house!)
Mom started taking me to work with her
this month too! What fun! I get to be with mom ALL day long! And
at lunch time we always go for a nice long walk! I like this
working life! I also got to visit my grandma's classroom this
month while mom and I were in Fresno. Boy, those 2-foots sure
wore me out! They were doing something called PE -running all
around and stuff! I was wiped out by the time we went back to the
classroom, so I took a nap! I guess I was very asleep! Just look
what they did to me!
My email buddy, Keyston and I, finally
got to meet! What fun we had! Keyston makes a great teething toy!
I hope we get to romp again soon!
And, of course, mom just HAD to
get some embarrassing shots of me! How much trouble do you
think I would get in for chewing that stinkin' camera up?? I'm pretty sure I would never make it out of the dog house if I did pulled that stunt! I'll stick to a kleenex every now and then! Maybe a shoe or two...
With a name like Pele (After the soccer
player, not the Volcano Goddess/Goddess of Fire) mom *had* to
take a picture of me with the huge soccer balls she saw! Now, if
only she would let me chase some of those balls!
Since I was 11 weeks old, mom has been taking me to school with her. I'm really well behaved and usually sat quietly during the lecture! I even got to be a demo-dog in mom's Animal Science discussion class! This picture was taken while we were waiting to go into that discussion class.
Mom and my grandparents took me to
church in Fresno with them too! Mom takes me in Davis too, but
she hasn't taken my picture there yet! Maybe next month!
Thanks for coming to check up on me! Mom and I appreciate all your well wishes and help in my socialization! It really does take a community to raise a pup like me! From the individual raisers to the community business associates who allow us to visit their stores to the great people who stop to ask about us, EVERYONE is important in our trek to becoming a working service dog!
