2002 - 2003     Programmer
U-Know Software Corporation, Reading, MA

  • Developed a web service for viewing and booking airline tickets based on U-Know Software’s travel search engine. Developed Web forms and intermediate UI in HTML, JavaScript and Java Applet for the front-end.

2000 - 2001     Teaching Assistant
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Rivier College

  • Tutoring computer courses for the department. Consulting students' needs for software developing, hardware configuring, and understanding of academic concepts. (C/C++, Java, TCP/IP, SQL, DBMS)
  • Assisting IT staffs on software installation and configuration for the computer science department.
  • Developing and posting web materials for the computer science department. Developed the web-site structure and web-page materials using HTML, ASP, and JavaScript.
  • Working on Linux system maintenance and as Executive of Rivier Linux User Group.

1997 - 2000     Research Assistant & Assistant System Administrator

  • Mathematical Computer Modeling by Finite Element Method (FEM) on UNIX workstations using FORTRAN and C languages.
  • Designing and developing geophysical computer models for scientific simulation, revising legacy codes as well. GUI and data presentation programmed in C. Model-runs programmed in FORTRAN.
  • Assistant System Administrator: Responsible for system installation, configuration, and maintenance of the department's UNIX local network system.

  • Project leader in "Research and Develop Integrated Software for Earthquake Analysis and prediction". Duties include software architecture design, prediction algorithm analysis, etc.
