The patrons, dimly sensed in the interior, turn at your entrance, pause, and go back to their drinks. The dim lighting combined with the slightly surreal architecture puts your nerves a little on edge.
You move deeper into the bar--in the far corner, a man in plaid stands on one of the tables, haranguing some of the patrons in a low urgent tone. His speech, from what you can hear of it, swings from politics, to morals, to the latest blockbuster movie.
Do you want to listen to what he has to say; maybe even say something of your own?
The place seemed nearly deserted when you walked in, yet you find that you must push through a crowd to reach the bar itself. You signal the barkeep; he acknowledges your presence with a nod of his head. In response to your murmured question, he shakes his head slowly and says, "No...this ain't my place. The owner's not here now, but I could leave a message for'em if you wanted to."
The thought is tempting--do you want to say hello to the enigmatic owner of this establishment?
At the end of the wide oak expanse sits a disheveled man. Despite his rumpled clothes and dark circles under the eyes, the man still projects the aura of a prince. Though long fingers slowly rotate the shotglass that sits before man, dark eyes yet follow the room. Beneath the widow's peak, his eyes flash when they meet yours, and the Prince nods his greeting. Will you meet him?
Looking past the bar, you see an incredible painting of a knight kneeling before a giant cross. The walls are shrouded in dimness, but the man and the cross are haloed with early morning light. Oddly, the canvas has a queer sense of motion, as if it was a ship on a storm-tossed sea. Do you want to touch this magnificent piece of artistry?
You look to the front of the room; a small chair stands sentry in front of one of the windows. It occurs to you that perhaps someone is now stirring in another part of the world and you can escape this odd and somewhat disturbing place--lights outside this place are flickering. Do you want to sit in this lone chair and see who else is out on the web?
