Dowell Schlumberger sponsored the fourth SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) Evening on 3rd. December.1997.
The function was held at the Sheraton Utama Hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan. It started at 7.00 p.m. A brief introductory speech was delivered by the SPE Brunei Section Secretary Pg. Hj. Yasmin Pg. Mohammad. Followed by speech by SPE Vice chairman, Hj. Zainal Abidin. For the benefit of the new members, Hj. Zainal Abidin reiterated the mission of SPE which is to collect, store and disseminate knowledge/technology the members need in oil and gas industries which at present are undergoing rapid and radical changes.
After dinner, Dr. Jeff Spath gave a presentation on "Production Enhancement Process & Tecnique" . A lot of discussions and exchanges of ideas were generated after the presentation.
