Maximizing the Effectiveness of Integrated Reservoir Studies: Some Practical Approaches to Improving the Process and Results

by Paul F. Worthington

The real benefits of integration in reservoir geoscience and engineering lie in the ability to optimize this coupling between the static and dynamic components of a reservoir study at both the appraisal and the development stages. Regionally-focused examples that substantiate the key messages for more effective approaches to integrated reservoir studies will be given at the lecture. Considerable benefits can be secured by changing the way in which we do things without increasing expenditure.

Paul F. Worthington is with Gaffney, Cline & Assocs. He holds a PhD degree in engineering geophysics and a DS degree in applied geology.
