Sponsored by Schlumberger
Another SPE Brunei Evening has been organised at the Terrace Hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan on the 22nd May, 1998. The function is one of the SPE activities to promote the mission of collecting, storing and disseminating technological information of oil and gas industries to its members world wide. The evening function was sponsored by Schlumberger Overseas.
Dr. Anil Chopra was the distinguished lecturer who shared information on advances in technology and his experiences with three different oil and gas fields at the function. He presented an interesting topic on "Integrating seismic, geological and engineering data in reservoir characterisation". Dr. Anil Chopra is a Director of Reservoir Geostatistics and Characterisation at ARCO E & P Technology, Plano, Texas. He implemented a strategy for integrating various geological, petrophysical, geophysical and engineering data using advanced mathematical techniques. He taught and wrote reservoir characterisation courses. He is also an editor and a committee to many SPE books and activities.
As usual, all the participants were treated with delicious dinner before Hj. Mohd. Yussof B. Hj. Mat Don (SPE Brunei Secretary I) gave his welcoming speech.
