PSALM 79
A Psalm of Asaph.
Of the desolation of Jersalem Psalm 79.1-13
O God, the nations have come into [the land of Youur people] Yor inheritance; Youuur sacred temple have they defiled; they have made Jerusalem heaps of ruins.

The dead bodies of Your servants they have given as food to the birds of the heavens, the flesh of Youur saints to the beaasts of the earth.3
Their blood they have poured ouut like water round abouut Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them.Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
PSALM 80
To the Chief Musician; [set to the tune of] "Lilies, a Testimony." A Psalm of Asaph.
Of the miseries of the church Psalm 80.1-19
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You Who lead Joseph like a flock; You Who sit enthroned uupon the cherubim [of the ark of the covenant], shine forth

before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh! Stir up Your might, and come to save us!
PSALM 81
To the Chief Musician; set to Philistine lute, or [possibly] a particular Gittite tune. [A Psalm] of Asaph.
An exhortation to a solemn praising of God Psalm 81.1-16
Sing aloud to God our Strength! Shout for joy to the God of Jacob!

Raise a song, sound the timbrel, the sweet lyre with the harp.3
Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.4
For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.5
This He ordained in Joseph [the savior] for a testimony when He went out over the land of Egypt. The sppech of One Whom I knew not did I hear [saying],
