ECCLESIASTES

Introduction: The Greek word ecclesiastes (the Greek translation of the Hebrew Qoheleth) essentially means "preacher," or one who addresses an assembly. Since the author refers to himself repeatedly as "the preahcer," the title "Ecclesiastes" seems to be an appropriate identification of this book.
