My Dear Fellow CG-ites:

I am well aware of the hardship everyone must be enduring through these trying months without a CG-weekly. I often find myself reminiscing of the "good ol' days" when every week, without fail, I had a current copy of the weekly to get me through the week.

So now, you all deserve an explanation, and I being the main culprit in the demise of the weekly will try to give you one.

After the fateful weekly of May 22, 1998, I noticed myself getting bored in taking notes, nothing seemed to be "as funny" as it used to be. Maybe because it was summer time and the was no UCG or UTG to keep us occupied for hours, maybe the music was getting worse (hard to believe, I know). Whatever the reason, the love for writing the weekly was gone. I attempted numerous times to rekindle the lost love for the weekly, I even have 3 or 4 half-ass attempts at notes from weeks past. Not the same.

It wasn't because of a lack of input form fellow CG-ites, or my laziness, but a combination of the both.

As you may have noticed, I mentioned above that I am now a co-web-master of the page. Hence I will be able to assist Devang through some of the time consuming efforts in maintaining the page, bear with me though, I am still learning.

So come the fall, even if I have to go through hell or high-water (whatever that means), I will put out a valiant push for the return of the CG-Weekly.

Just remember, even though I know it is the summer, CG is open year round and if you really missed the weekly then your ass would be at CG on any given Friday to demand an explanation. The Prongers have taken a few Fridays off this summer, but not to the extent of others. I will admit we have slipped, but all is forgiven, but it will change come fall.

That is all I can say.

Keepin' the dream alive,

Duke Nukem
