For three years I had worked at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM. For the first two years, I was the Systems Administrator in the IS department. Then I had a one-year assignment as drafting instructor teaching AutoCAD.
In July 1997, I moved to Grants Pass, OR where I worked as Computer Science instructor at Rogue Community College. The cool, wet climate of Oregon did not work out well for my wife, so we moved once again. This time we headed south.
I accepted a position as Computer Science instructor at Columbia College and we move to Jamestown, CA in July of 1999. Jamestown is only 3 miles from Sonora, and about 8 miles from my job at Columbia College.
