VISION
The College of Computer Management and Information Technology (CCMIT) envisions itself as a creative and responsible catalyst of change and a dynamic Center of Excellence in the field of Information Technology. It will produce graduates who will address the demands of the emerging knowledge-based economy.




MISSION
The College of Computer Management and Information Technology is committed to:
1.
offer quality IT education relevant and responsive to the changing needs of the industry and society
2.
produce entrepreneurs and highly employable graduates who can respond to the challenges of a globally competitive information age
3.
engage in research on innovative technologies for effective teaching of students whose experiences are increasingly influenced by electronic media and computers which have changed social and economic trends
4.
develop innovative programs with greater reliance on technology as an alternative to costly and limited resources offered by the traditional educational system
5.
undertake outreach and extension programs which allow the utilization of the expertise of the CCMIT human resource for the improvement of the community
6.
strengthen linkages with industry and other institutions in order to continuously upgrade and update the knowledge and skills of faculty members and students
7.
inculcate among administrators, faculty members, staff and students the highest degree of commitment and professionalism in any undertaking

OBJECTIVES
The student in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is expected to acquire:
1.
knowledge of the structure, organization, and operation of computer systems
2.
understanding of computer design and programming
3.
knowledge of operation research as well as technical skills in assessing exiting technology and software
4.
actual experience in the development of systems and application of software
5.
self-discipline, concern for the welfare of others, and matured disposition at all times


The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology is expected to acquire:
1.
knowledge of basic research on applied science and information technologies
2.
actual experience in translating basic research into marketable IT products
3.
knowledge in developing the actual IT products
4.
knowledge in identifying markets for IT products
5.
knowledge in the management of the use of information technology- based systems which addresses the specific needs of the organization.
