Yay! Ernie is coming back for the weekend. Let's all pray that he doesn't need to work off the rage of the work week by choking my unemployed ass. Hey, Ed, I just saw the episode of 'The Tick' where he chooses 'Spoon!' as his battle cry. The Man-Eating Cow.... The Human Ton..... now that's good television. Anyhow, it made me think of you. You have a flattering legacy, Mr. Bringas. Oh, woops.... Ernie wanted me to 'call people' to 'do something this weekend.' You almost have to respect his misplaced, unwavering faith in my communicative abilities. I keep telling him that people might WANT to drive to Connecticut, provided we suggest actual activities to do. And Lord knows I'm no good at that. "Hey, does anyone want to rearrange their schedule, and spend time, money, and energy on driving to Connecticut to, um, hang out, and, um, never mind." Ernie countered by suggesting that we see 'Mystery Men,' but I had to point out that people could just as easily see said movie at a LOCAL theatre. Besides, our desire to see said movie is based on our predisposal to a computer game called 'Superhero League of Hoboken,' on which 'Mystery Men' appears to be a fairly direct rehash. But that reference probably wouldn't fly in a non-nerd crowd such as yourselves. Ernie than mentioned going to Riverside Park. This was getting dangerously close to a plan, so I hung up on him and played 'Bubble Bobble' on my Nintendo Emulator. "C'mon, you little green bastard, get that ice cream cone.... c'mon.... FUCK! It disappeared! Well, there's still time to nab that magic ball...." Long, painful pause, with the requisite cough. So, who's up for a movie this weekend in sunny Connecticut? Well, in any event, I'd like to hear from you weirdos in some capacity. Call me (at 860-***-****), even if just to say hi. The only person who calls me is Brian, and he's not even getting these messages. Hmmm.... maybe there's a correlation..... Toodles. - Morgan - |
