Beach Road Medical Centre
Welcome to Beach Road Medical Centre... the only military Medical Centre in the city (we take pride in that). Well, I can't really take you on a tour of the Medical Centre cos I would probably be breaching some kind of Secret Act so I shall instead show you my fellow medics, some of whom have been my colleague and friend for a long time. I came to this Medical Centre on June 8th, 1996 and served there as under the Medical Board Department most of the time till my ORD on June 6th 1998... so this has been home for the last 2 years. I have had many special moments in that Medical Centre and in that camp and this is one way to remember the people, faces and the spirit of BRMC.
This was taken during the Anti-Smoking / Healthy Lifestyle Exhibition 1997 for which we got 2 days off! (That's really what we all look for ain't it?)
We were clowning around here and torturing this mock patient who graciously agreed to pose for us (bad choice...)
This is the Medical Board Department and my fellow "hardworking", "diligent" colleague Kam Yong who makes our table look like the Armageddon.
This is a digitally editted picture of another bloke... this is Chih Wei trying very hard to look like Medic Of The Month.
Meet Loke, our Medical Centre dustbin... in such a sense cos he eats everything... food in our Treatment Room fridge never lasts more than a day as long as he is Treatment Room I/C
This picture is of some of my closer friends... the bloke right at the back is Triston Lim who took over me as Medic I/C. The stud-muffin in front of him is Wayne Bill Anthony William Cheng Chien-Loong (pant pant...) who is a truly a cool kid. He's the Zouk babe in our medical centre and cannot keep a still foot when a retro song comes on... he is one reason why the medical centre is a looney-bin. Next to me is Lin Chih-Wei, one of my longest serving colleagues and a friend I love to club with... actually they all are.
This is us once again trying to look busy
Meet Loke again, our ultimate eating machine... eating MY cornflakes.
Chih Wei, the Store I/C and I again in the Treatment Room.
This is our reception... being dirtied by Joen's nose shit.
This is a great picture of us taken December 1997 with all our medical equipment with us trying to look as professional as possible.
