Mavis Siew

I knew Mavis in a rather odd manner... I was having lunch one afternoon after church at Centrepoint's Marketplace when I sort of found a face in the crowd familiar... she too found me kind of familiar and we sort of started to talk without knowing each other's names. Well that was last year and this year I remembered Mavis after looking at her at Soon Kiat's Sydney Symposium Photos. But I only started actually talking to her when I went to visit Siang Sin in the hall for our late night supper dates. So I remembered one night after I had supper with Siang Sin at Fong Sengs , I saw Mavis just along the corridor and we sort of talked till 3 in the morning standing the corridor. The next day at work was absolutely zombified but it was worth it cos from there, we went for dinner with other choir friends after Saturday Alumni Practices and I thoroughly enjoy her company. She is a really strong-faithed Christian and I draw alot of inspiration and encouragement from her. Mavis just finished her honours year at NUS in Sociology and has just signed up with NIE to become a teacher, just like her parents... just hope she doesn't nag at us once she graduates from NIE! Haha...

This was taken at the ACJC Choir 10th Anniversary Dinner at The Regent ... too bad you can't see all the gold glitter in her hair to make her look like a diva.

This was taken on Valentine's Day and Pregos where we had lunch with Soon Kiat and Lois. After that we went to her place to play with Raf Raf (a mini snauzter).
