Tan Soon Kiat

For those of you who are pretty close to me, you probably know Soon Kiat, one of my good friends. Well, Kiat is currently hating every minute of his military life in Provost Unit as a Military Police cos well, it sucks... he has to stay in. Oh well... who likes that anyway. Anyhow, Kiat is set to do Engineering in NUS and join the already swelling population of boring Engin grads. Well, he ain't a boring kid but just very inclined to the science field. He just might consider other options at this point in time. Well, Kiat's a generally very easy-going person, willing to try most stuff (except stuff like body piercing or equally controversial things) which most other ordinary boring folks would not be willing to try. We all have similar sense of humour and it's quite amusing to see him frustrated when his camp mates just don't seem to get it. Kiat loves checks... or use to at least. He's another ardent follower of 80s music, not just the retro hits but also the great 80s rock ballads. Much of this year has been spent around Kiat, going to almost every nook and cranny with him and Hui Ping during the first quarter of the year as well as going on a trip to Europe with him, Hui Ping and Joanne. Well, we had a pretty eventful year on a whole and for myself, a pretty good one. This would include sunbathing in his porch and visiting a haunted house at midnight with other friends. All of us love stargazing along the seaside at East Coast and watching the sunrise. Kiat is one person I have always felt free to share my heart to and think that I'm pretty comfortable telling him about anything. I feel like I've know him for really long time even though we were only closer from the start of this year. I will really miss him when I leave for UK.

Eh... this was unplanned... the shirt I mean cos Kiat asked me what I bring up to the mountains and the thickest shirt I had was this flannel shirt which looked exactly like his checked flannel shirt.

Ah... this one's in Singapore on the monorail in Sentosa after we all spent the afternoon at Fantasy Island. Actually 15 mintues prior to this shot being taken, we had the first idea to go to Europe in March.

This is the most recent picture taken when we went to watch the sunrise with Hui Ping after a night of crashing at his place. This picture was taken right after the sun came over the horizon with the colouring sky behind us.
