The 2000 show was truly something unique -- it was a combination of Puccini's amazing opera La Boheme and the more recent and popular musical Rent, called "Viva La Vie Boheme". This is the drumline's first year (in recent memory) without Chuck Collins at the helm, and we have tried to do as he would have wanted. To assist our other long-time instructor Tony Uglialoro, Mr. Paul Pitts (an experienced music educator and drum corps personality) has been working with the line on technique as well as composing music. We are also proud of our very own George Lam (bass drum), who arranged the opening piece for the entire band.

This year's show was the music of "YESS." The music was challenging and difficult to memorize, and the drill kept us on our toes. I have to admit the drumline has improved so much that our instructors kept having to find harder music and drill. Unfortunately, though, we were not granted solos this year.

The 1998 show was "Jesus Christ Superstar" - a show that truly rocked! Although "Superstar" was not as technically challenging as the Bernstein show, it featured solos by the snares, basses, and tenors which were quite impressive. We all definately had a great time.

The 1997 BUMB Drumline
"BWOT"
Allentown, PA
The 1997 show was entitled "Berstein on Artificial Turf," and was particularly challenging for the drumline. With pieces in 7/8 and 3/4 meters and frequent double-time, backwards marching, the line met the challenge with skill and determination (and also numerous extra practices!).
