Kappa Nu... a "Jock House?"

The KN House always finished at or near the top of the 54 fraternities in
"House G.P.A." But would you believe that Kappa Nu was the top athletic
fraternity at Cal for the entire late '50s and early '60s? The Intramural
Sports Trophy was permanently retired by Kappa Nu in 1961 for winning
the sports championship three consecutive years. This "three-peat" has
only been accomplished once before in university history... by the SAEs.

During these years Kappa Nu won championships in softball,
track, tennis, golf, table tennis, gymnastics, handball, and boxing,
and finished second in football twice.
