In 1958, KNs pulled off one of the all-time pranks,
which led to national attention. When our intramural
football team took a team picture with the letters "KN"
on each jersey, Art Twain said, "Look... KN... Kim Novak!"
On the Spring Break, Twain and Sevilla went to
Los Angeles, and dropped off the team picture at
Universal Studios, addressed to Kim Novak. The message
read, "Dear Kim: This is the Kim Novak Athletic Club.
We play football at UC Berkeley in your honor, and we
have just won the championship! (A lie! We finished second.)
Please send us a full length photo of yourself for
our clubhouse wall. We love you!"
