Resignation letter of Jeffrey Edward Poulin, a former Research Technician in Dr. Kay's lab

Dept. of Immunology/Microbiology Dr. John Marchalonis: 18 April 1996 First, I would like to thank you and the department for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your research program. In Dr. Kay's lab, the past three years have been a period of tremendous growth for me in science related theory, practice, and writing. In addition, her lab has also given me the opportunity to collaborate with others in a laboratory environment, and to become aquainted with other Ph.D.'s in related fields of research. Thank you again for making my employment at the University of Arizona a fruitful and enjoyable one. I regret that I must inform you and Dr. Marguerite Kay that I will be resigning from my position here as Research Technician. This letter is my two weeks notice to you and Dr. Kay. In light of my upcoming layoff, I took the initiative to seek further employment and have secured a position in behavioral health, which is a field I was trained for initially. Thank you again for having confidence in my abilities to benefit Dr. Kay's lab, and giving me the opportunity to do so. I wish you the best of luck with your continuing research, and with everything else you devote your time and energy in. If I can be of any further assistance in making this transition a smooth one, please let me know. Sincere!y,Jeffrey Edward Poulin Research Technician |
