5) "The Jerry Springer Show" is not known, particularly as educational, nor the forum for intelligent arguments. This particular episode was not that different. This episode discussed underaged strippers. The children, mostly in their late teens said that they could do with their bodies what they wanted. Some of the parents agreed. Generally, it was the child's teachers that were brought on to say that the whole thing was sick and disgusting. That wasn't enough for a fight, however, so the club owners were brought out, who treated everybody like jerks, and the fists flew. It was clear that the audience didn't like the concept of minors stripping. (Or, "Stripper Minoring," as the recurring joke was. The arguments, as almost always, turned to insults and swearing, and got nowhere.
6) The show that I saw had these two guys come on who knew more than I ever wanted to know existed about...Madonna. Madonna, as in The Material Girl, has her own experts. Apparently, according to the show, there is even a college course that teaches "Madonna." The guest speakers were highly knowledgeable of the pop star, but the problem was that half of the stories, occurrences, songs, and lovers that they referred to were just over my head. When the speakers spoke in depth, explaining, for example, just when she was with Dennis Rodman, or the picture from Sex in question, I learned, well, more than I wanted to, but when they were under the assumption I knew, I was lost.
7) The only disagreement of the show was that I thought it stupid, they thought it funny. My theory on talk shows is that they radiate stupidity. You have the guests who decide to internationally humiliate themselves, then the host, who feel that they are doing something or productive, then radiated to the studio audience who are transformed into sheep, ranting "four legs good, two legs bad," then to the people in TV land who actually waste an hour to watch this poorly gilded fecal matter. My friends felt that it was fake, that it was just for jokes, or if it wasn't people came on thinking they could actually clear the air. I said either was still was nauseating, and that neither image improved my appeal for the show, in the slightest.
