35) CATTLE TRAILS: Three trails in the 1860's to the 1880's, the Goodnight Loving Trail, The Western Trail, and Chisholm Trail, that were used to bring live cattle from the railroads to Texas. Made some quick money for some, but the railroadsoon overtook it.
36) "LONG DRIVE": The act of taking the herds over the Cattle Trails, Performed by tens of thousands of cowboys, they became Western legends. They faced terrible dangers and could not find a job by the late 1880's.
37) SILVER SENATORS: Senators from the thinly populated west who were watching out for the interests of the miners of the 1880's. Combined with the wealth found, they became American Folk Lore.
38) BOOM TOWNS: Cities that grew quickly into the city status by the flood of people, usually due to gold, or mining. This led to most of the western society became accepted.
39) COMSTOCK LODE: Large gold strike in 1859 that led to Nevada's boost, and its eventual becoming a state.
