The Upward Trend formed in early 2005 and initially focused on songwriting and growing together as a group. 

The Upward Trend plays modern rock with pop rock and hard rock influences.  Not content with making mere "party music," The Upward Trend often strives to communicate a socially relevant message in their lyrics.
